1904 Bing Open Tourer
This very rare antique toy was found local to Aston’s in a loft in Dudley! Several ‘telephone bidders’ battled it out, whilst bidders in the room simply gasped in amazement as the price climbed all the way to £6000. The hammer came down to a round of applause – a very exciting moment for us and for the delighted vendor!

Mattel HotWheels 1960’s shop display stand
This lot was one of a pair sold by us, which came from the family of a Palitoy sales rep. It is believed that there are only 3 in existence (the third being a mint example in the Mattel Museum). The other stand sold to a private collector in the auction room for £3800, whilst this example went to a keen collector in the United States – so keen he paid extra for next day delivery to his office!

Masudaya 1950’s Target Robot
One of Modern Toys / Masudaya’s ‘Gang of Five’ robots made in the 1950’s/’60s. This lot was sold as ‘just one owner from new’, as the lady who entered it for sale had been given the toy as a child, having later consigned it to the loft where it remained in lovely condition all these years!

Tin plate clockwork girl pushing a pram
We don’t know the maker of this toy, but we have included it here as it’s such a lovely and unusual toy.
Marked ‘DRGM’ (Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster) which tells us that it was made in Germany, and we believe that it dates to the early 20th Century.

Shackleton Model David Brown Trackmaster 30
Shackleton were renowned for really superb quality toys – really solid bits of kit – they really don’t make them like they used to!
Shackleton’s Foden lorries are relatively common, but this David Brown tractor is believed to be one of possibly less than 100 produced.
